All Welcome at Catherine McAuley Open Night

Catherine McAuley Westmead is welcoming the local community and interested families to their school for their annual Open Night to be held on Tuesday, 13th March 2018.

The school is planning an activity filled afternoon and evening with plenty of hands on activities for children of all ages to enjoy. Dance students will be performing in the Dance Studio, the History Department will entertain children with their simulated archaeological dig, Hospitality students will have demonstrations and lots of treats to try while the Visual Arts Department will be running a small drawing workshop.

The Science laboratories will be particularly active with visitors able to participate in science experiments and the Year 10 Japanese students will be looking especially colourful as they all wear their kimonos and offer a Japanese cultural experience.

In addition to subject area displays there will also be tours of the school, music performances, cookie taste testing and finger food from the school canteen. All food and activities are free. The school’s Principal, Ms Laetitia Richmond, will make presentations to interested parents at 4.30pm, 5.15pm and 6.00pm and Year 7 students will model the school uniforms. Enrolment applications for Year 7 2019 may also be lodged on the evening.

The Catherine McAuley Open Day will be held on Tuesday 13 March between 4.00pm-7.00pm. The school is located at 2 Darcy Road, Westmead. Car parking is available via Gate 3 off Darcy Road opposite Westmead Private Hospital.
